Who we are
Reason Studios have been pioneers in the music industry since the dawn of the classic loop editor ReCycle and ReBirth, which emulated the TB-303 Roland Bass Line and TR-808 Drum Machine hardware. Our software has played a crucial role in electronic music and hiphop ever since then.
We at Reason Studios are passionate about music. The office is often buzzing with discussions about beats, tunes and music making. Ever so often you will see somebody - visiting artists or one of our employees - cranking out tunes in our own music studio.
Our passion for music also means we have close relationships with our end-users and regularly interact with musicians and producers world-wide. We want to make it easier for them to make great music.
We are respected in the industry, but still a small, yet independent team. This means that you instantly become an important part in our mission to reimagine the music making.
About the role
We are looking for a tester to our small test team in the R&D department focusing on making Reason the best possible software for music makers. The core of the role is to find bugs in Reason and distill information about them into actionable tasks for the developers. This is done by talking to external beta testers, reproducing bugs as well as hands-on testing. The role also includes management and administration of test assignments such as distribution of software and information to testers.
Who are you?
To feel comfortable in this role, you probably make music in one of the major DAWs. You are computer savvy and not afraid to dig into the configuration of computers and software. You are thorough and work in a structured way. You are comfortable managing your own time, prioritising and making sure you get what you need to complete the task at hand. You are comfortable in both spoken and written English.
We think you have experience of:
- Working comfortably with at least one DAW
- Both Mac & Windows computers
It is a great bonus if you:
- Know Reason well
- Live in Stockholm
- Speak Swedish
Why should you join us?
We know what sparks innovation, and therefore we have many means of letting our employees explore new routes, work on a solution they are excited about – or simply spend time on that dream project.
Being part of our team also means getting a chance to work with advanced technical architecture, state of the art digital signal processing and the latest in digital marketing. And working with engaged and talented people in an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere!
If you’re passionate about music and restless for new ideas, we’re ready to take you where you want to go—and beyond.
