Reason Studios have been pioneers in the music industry since the dawn of the classic loop editor ReCycle and ReBirth, in 1994. Our software has played a crucial role in electronic music and hiphop ever since then.

We at Reason Studios are passionate about music. The office is often buzzing with discussions about beats, tunes and music making. Ever so often you will see somebody - visiting artists or one of our employees - cranking out tunes in our own music studio.

Our passion for music also means we have close relationships with music makers and regularly interact with musicians and producers world-wide. We are passionate about helping them make great music.

We are respected in the industry, but still a small, yet independent team. This means that you instantly become an important part in our mission to improve the music making experience.

About the role

We are looking for a frontend developer to join our Customer Journey-team. The Customer Journey-team is responsible for designing and constantly improving the journey for music makers from signing up to music making with Reason to continuously coming back to Reason to make fresh beats.

Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, and developing Reason Studios customer facing web technology. Everything from our existing WordPress site to desktop apps. You will work with frontend development in technologies such as Javascript, CSS, Python, React and Electron. As part of the journey team, you will be involved with all sides of Reason: backend systems, marketing, product, artist collaborations and other departments when needed.

You and the journey team will together analyze and refine our customer journey and you should take pride in helping as many musicians as possible make fire beats with Reason.

Who are you?
You have worked as a frontend developer for a couple of years. You need to be comfortable in both spoken and written English.

You have experience with:

• WordPress
• PHP
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• CSS
• React

It is advantageous if you have experience with:

• SEO (Google tag manager, Google Analytics, meta tags)
• UX
• Electron

Furthermore, we believe you love working as part of a team where getting input from customer success, marketing or product to improve the journey is part of the fun.

You take a big responsibility in your daily work and you always aim at making things better for the music maker.

While you absolutely don’t need to know anything music production to work here, we expect you to be interested in music and curios to learn more about how music is produced.
